1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Similar technologies include browser storage (local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB) and identifiers embedded in scripts. They can be used for necessary things, such as keeping you signed in, or for tracking.
2. What this website uses
This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage. We verified this by inspecting every page’s response headers and browser storage before publishing, and our automated checks repeat the inspection on every release.
Cloudflare, which serves the site, may set a strictly necessary cookie named __cf_bm for up to 30 minutes when it needs to tell people from automated traffic. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking.
If we enable the Turnstile check on the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own cookie for the duration of that check only. Today the check is not enabled.
3. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, one cookieless analytics script
The only third-party script on this site is the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon. It counts page views without cookies, local storage, identifiers, or fingerprinting, and we see only aggregate numbers: pages, referrers, browser types, countries, and page-load timings. There is no advertising pixel, no social media plugin, and no third-party font. Nothing here follows you to other websites.
4. Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is needed when a site stores something that is not strictly necessary. This site does not, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to click.
5. The ITIG Clinic application
The ITIG Clinic application at itigclinic.com is a separate service. It uses two strictly necessary cookies to keep staff and patients signed in (one for the staff application, one for the patient portal), and it stores the chosen language in the browser. It uses no analytics or advertising technology. The privacy policy covers the application.
6. How to control cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies. In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Site settings. In Safari on iPhone, open Settings, then Safari, then Privacy and Security. In Safari on a Mac, open Safari, then Settings, then Privacy. In Firefox, open Settings, then Privacy and Security. Blocking the strictly necessary Cloudflare cookie may occasionally make the site ask you to complete a security check.
7. Changes
If we ever add a cookie or a similar technology to this site, we update this page first, with a new effective date, and we add a consent mechanism if the law requires one.
